NOTE: This is a FULLY remote role, but the candidate must be based in Finland to fulfil the role.

Your Mission

  • Perform GL accounting across current and future Hostaway group entities, including e.g. Finland, UK, US, Spain, and Canada.

  • Execute monthly closing tasks, including payroll journal entries, reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and accruals.

  • Manage statutory and monthly tax reporting in Finland, covering indirect tax and payroll tax.

  • Support in the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements.

  • Oversee and manage the P2P sub-ledger.

  • Assist in cost accounting processes.

  • Support the development and optimization of finance processes and the technology stack.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and accounts payable.

  • Experience with tax filings in Finland, including EU OSS, EC sales lists, VAT returns, and withholding tax. Experience in other jurisdictions is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of VAT treatment in an international environment.

  • Hands-on experience with accounting in an international setting.

  • Proficiency with advanced accounting software tools and/or ERP solutions. Experience with NetSuite and Payhawk is considered advantageous.

  • An accounting qualification (such as KLT) is a plus.

  • Experience in group consolidation, IFRS, or US GAAP is an asset.
